The Wrong People Commit Suicide

A Substack reader recently wrote asking my thoughts about suicide. A teenage boy she knew had experienced the suicide of a family member, only to be told by a church member that suicide was an unforgivable sin, and his loved one was in hell. I heard this nonsense growing up in the Catholic church, though such idiocy is not limited to the Catholic faith.
