Barbara, who was normally supportive of Sam’s ventures, was somewhat guarded when Sam told her about his new career in journalism, going head to head with Dale Hinshaw on the pages of The Harmony Herald.

“It’s not that I don’t agree with you,” she said. “You know I do. It’s just that this is a small town and we have to live here. Now everyone will think we’re crazy.”
